We meet the daily challenges associated with protecting the region from hurricane and storm damage, facilitating navigation along the Mississippi River, and simultaneously working to protect and restore the fragile and disappearing ecosystem that houses the water resources we manage.  Task Force Hope, an extension of the Mississippi Division, is comprised of the Task Force Hope staff, the Hurricane Protection Office (HPO), and the New Orleans District Protection Restoration Office (PRO).  Together, these offices are responsible for the Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction System (HSDRRS).    Our first priority is public safety.
